J-STAR-CR (Clinical Research) was established as a subcommittee of J-STAR to promote clinical research in rheumatology. The committee consists of eight selected young to mid-career rheumatology specialists across Japan who actively engage in clinical research alongside their busy clinical practice. We aim to advance a broad spectrum of clinical studies, ranging from epidemiological to interventional research. In addition, we will actively share ongoing research conducted in Japan, as well as achievements presented at scientific meetings and in peer-reviewed publications. Through these efforts, we seek not only to further stimulate clinical research within Japan but also to serve as a bridge toward international collaborative research. Furthermore, we will organize and provide educational sessions covering practical approaches to efficient patient data collection in real-world clinical settings, as well as fundamental and applied knowledge of clinical epidemiology. Through these initiatives, we aim to encourage the participation of young rheumatologists in research and to foster the next generation of clinical investigators.
